Dr. Saintonge received her doctorate degree in dentistry from the Université de Montréal. She started practicing dentistry in Fredericton, NB before moving to Vancouver in 2002 to pursue her career with BSDC.

Dr. Saintonge has discovered a strong passion and interest in creating youthful smiles with cosmetic and orthodontic dentistry. She is a part of an Orthodontic study Club in Toronto, is continually attending courses and lectures, and recently became a member of the International Association of Orthodontics.

Dr. Saintonge strongly believes that dedication and knowledge is the key to success. She understands the importance of remaining current with the latest in dentistry and recognizes the positive impact new technology is having on the profession and patient care.

Aside from her work, Dr. Saintonge enjoys skiing, jogging, power yoga, cooking and loves to travel.

Dr. Liu was born and raised in Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia where he was awarded multiple scholarships. He studied Pharmacology and Therapeutics for three years and conducted neuro-scientific research until his early acceptance into the dental program.

He began practicing at BSDC upon graduating from dentistry in 1995. A dedicated professional who believes in giving back to the community, he has been a clinical instructor for the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC from 1998 to 2000 and has volunteered at a community dental health centre as both an administrator and a supervisor from 1993 – 2002.

Dr. Liu believes in the philosophy of a state of the art complete service dental practice where patients can feel comfortable and well looked after. Cosmetic dentistry and facial esthetics in terms of the way it can improve a patient’s self-image and confidence is a particular interest of Dr. Liu’s. He likes to accomplish this by combining his areas of professional interest: orthodontics, implants, tooth whitening, crown and bridge and veneers and Botox therapy. He is proud that his work has been featured on an esthetic makeover show on the W Network, and on The Real Housewives of Vancouver.

Dr. Leung grew up in Vancouver, B.C. where he completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry at UBC before attending dental school in Sydney, Australia. Growing up, he quickly found that he had a way with teaching and educating others. This interest quickly landed him in extracurricular instructor roles for sports like martial arts, as well as academic tutoring positions throughout his undergraduate studies. Success in these roles came from his ability to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life.

Dr. Leung believes the best care stems from understanding the patient's needs.

Pursuing dentistry proved to be a natural choice as it utilizes his understanding of chemistry, while also providing a space to educate patients about their oral health,. With a desire to constantly improve himself, Dr. Leung hopes to provide treatment personalized to each individual patient by leveraging his abilities to connect, understand and communicate with others.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing and practicing Lion Dancing and Martial Arts.

Dr. Mark Tulumello grew up in Welland Ontario in the Niagara region. He moved to Hamilton to attend McMaster University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences and spent summers doing research at the University. Although he always had a knack for science, he also loved working with his hands. The son of an artist, Mark has always had a passion for drawing, sculpting, photography and graphic design.

Dr. Tulumello felt that Dentistry was the perfect profession to combine his love of art and science and moved to Winnipeg where he attended the University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry. He quickly found a passion for his work and was awarded by his graduating class for showing excellence in academics, athletics, extra-curricular activities and high standards in patient care.

Dr. Tulumello loves spending time with his wife Shora. In his free time, he enjoys everything hiking, canoeing, camping and playing soccer.

Dr. Shew joined Broadway Station Dental Centre in June 2002. After publishing several papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals; he was on his way to receiving a Ph. D. and becoming a professor in Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He then realized that research was not for him because he had little interaction with people. He combined his desire to work with people and his love for working with his hands and decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Shew believes in education, patient-based dentistry and a multi-disciplinary approach to dentistry. He believes in talking to and getting to know his patients. He enjoys educating people and asks his patients to take an active role in managing their dental health and treatment decisions.

Dr. Shew believes it is important to explore the many aspects available in Modern Dentistry: crown and bridge, cosmetic dentistry, endodontic therapy, orthodontics, periodontal therapy and implant dentistry, sedation (oral and intravenous) in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan. Then we can restore one’s smile and oral health in a safe and comfortable environment.

A dedicated professional, Dr. Shew has spent hundreds of hours on continuing education, in particular in the areas of comprehensive rehabilitation, periodontics, implant dentistry and sedation (oral and I.V.). He is currently a member of two study clubs: Vancouver Oral Implantology Surgical Study Club and Kaizen Study Club learning about complete functional dental rehabilitation. He is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Academy of Periodontology and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Through a rigorous training and examination process, Dr. Shew has joined a small group of general practitioners that has been certified by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC to provide I.V. sedation to his patients. He is also currently in the examination process to obtain his Associate Fellow from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Shew is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider registered with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. He believes that continually updating his skills and keeping up with what’s new in dentistry will allow him to provide his patients with the exceptional care they deserve.

Dr. Shew loves travelling and spending time with his family. He can often be found training in the gym in hopes of keeping up with his two sons on the ski slopes and outdoors.
